Hornady A-MAX bullets are .30 caliber projectiles built for handloaders who want match-grade accuracy out of rounds they build themselves. These are component bullets for reloading not loaded ammunition so you seat them in your own brass and tune the charge to your rifle. The 168-grain weight paired with the polymer tip gives you the flat predictable flight that serious .308 and .30 cal shooters chase at distance.
Each projectile has a .308 inch diameter the standard bullet size for .30 caliber cartridges so it fits the load data and case prep you already run. The construction pairs a jacketed lead core with a polymer tip that protects the nose of the bullet in the magazine and delivers a consistent ballistic coefficient from shot to shot. This is where a lot of downrange accuracy actually comes from. Keep in mind these are lead-core bullets and are not lead-free so handle and clean up the way you normally would with jacketed lead components.
